To create a contrast color using Chromastics hair color, we will work with two key elements:

  1. Base Color Formula (Low Contrast Depth & Richness)
    • 40g Deposit 6N (Natural level 6 for depth and neutral tone)
    • 15g L8 Ash (Level 8 Ash for cool toning and slight lift)
    • 10-volume developer (For controlled deposit and soft blending)
    • This formula provides a natural-looking darker contrast with cool toning for balance.
  2. Blonde Contrast Formula (Lifting for Brightness)
    • XL Powder Lightener (High-lift power for clean blonde results)
    • 30-volume developer (For strong lift, up to 3-4 levels)
    • This will create brightness and contrast against the 6N/L8Ash base.

Application Strategy for Maximum Contrast:
• For Balayage or Foil Work: Apply XL Lightener with 30-volume on selected sections to achieve the desired lightness (keeping natural depth in between for contrast).
• For Dimensional Root Melt: Apply the 6N + L8Ash formula to the root and mid-lengths, then blend into pre-lightened sections for a seamless gradient.
• For Maximum Contrast: Keep some sections fully lightened and tone separately after achieving the lift.
